An avid book lover since she learned to read, Effie Joe Stock has always found home in realms other than earth, preferably with magic, dragons, and adventure.

 

Ever since she wrote a picture book with a friend in the first grade, Stock knew that she wanted to be an author. Her own story continued as she wrote short stories and poetry. After casually writing books with a friend, Stock finally decided to start her own fantasy book at age twelve. Her standalone book dream, over nine years of dedicated work, has now grown into a five book epic fantasy series dubbed: The Shadows of Light.

Child of the Dragon Prophecy, the first book of the series, now available internationally, marks the beginning of an adventure born from a dream that transcended time and space.

Now the head of Dragon Bone Publishing, Stock has released her first anthology into the world, Aphotic Love, and is excited for the Dragon Bone Journal, a brand new literary magazine. She hopes to continue publishing anthologies, magazines, and one day open the publishing house to full length novel submissions from other authors. 

​

Besides working on her endless number of Works In Progress, Stock enjoys working on her small farm of cows, chickens, goats, sheep, rabbits, turkeys, dogs and cats. A dedicated music lover, Stock plays guitar, violin, and piano, along with any other instrument she can get her hands on. Besides expressing her creativity though writing, dance, and art, she also enjoys studying Theology, Apologetics, Philosophy, Psychology, and Mathematics.
